Immunological inefficiency of art in HIV-infected patients

چکیده

Widespread introduction and early initiation of antiretroviral therapy significantly improves the prognosis in people living with HIV — an increase number CD4+ T-lymphocytes, incidence HIV-related diseases mortality rate decreases. Despite suppression replication, a fraction ART-treated patients fails to achieve normalization T-cell counts. These have increased risk clinical progression AIDS non-AIDS events. Currently, there are no clear criteria for determining case immunological inefficiency ART. To date, mechanisms incomplete immune reconstitution HIV-infected not been fully elucidated. Therefore, this review, we aim attract attention specialists problem summarized results recent studies current literature data, described possible factors development ART; presented studied therapeutic strategies aimed at recovering immunity patients.

ART outcome in HIV-infected patients.

BACKGROUND To assess assisted reproductive technique (ART) outcome in couples affected by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). METHODS Intrauterine insemination (IUI), IVF and ICSI were performed in 85 couples affected by HIV between January 2000 and June 2005. RESULTS In 33 of the 85 couples, women were HIV positive-the clinical pregnancy rate (CPR) and cancellation rate (CR) after 34 IUI c...

Immunological diagnosis of CMV infection in HIV-infected patients

Background The Quantiferon-CMV assay is a test for Cell Mediated Immune (CMI) responses to peptide antigens that simulate CMV proteins. Individuals infected with CMV usually have CD8+ lymphocytes in their blood that recognize these antigens. This recognition process involves the generation and secretion of the cytokine and interferon (IFN). The detection and subsequent quantification of IFN for...

Apoptosis characterizes immunological failure of HIV infected patients

This paper studies the influence of apoptosis in the dynamics of the HIV infection. A new modeling of the healthy CD4+ T-cells activation-induced apoptosis is used. The parameters of this model are identified by using clinical data generated by monitoring patients starting Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy (HAART). The sampling of blood tests is performed to satisfy the constraints of dynam...

Comparison of viro-immunological marker changes between HIV-1 and HIV-2-infected patients in France.

BACKGROUND HIV-2 is known to be less pathogenic than HIV-1, although the underlying mechanisms are still debated. We compared the changes over time in viro-immunological markers in HIV-1 and HIV-2-infected patients living in France during natural history and after initiation of the first combination antiretroviral therapy (CART). METHOD Patients were included in the ANRS CO3 HIV-1 cohort (N =...

profile of candidiasis in hiv infected patients.

background and objective: candidiasis is a common opportunistic infection in hiv-infected patients. the spectrum of candida infection is diverse, starting from asymptomatic colonization to pathogenicforms. the low absolute cd4+ t-lymphocyte count has traditionally been cited as the greatest risk factor for the development of oropharyngeal candidiasis and current guidelines suggest increased ris...
